Overview
The transition to a sustainable planet requires a workforce equipped for it. This intern focuses on the "Green Jobs" pillar of the movement. You will research, promote, and help organize initiatives that link youth and community members to economic opportunities in the sustainability sector, such as waste management, renewable energy, and eco-tourism.
Key Responsibilities
Research and compile a database of local "Green Job" opportunities and training providers.
Set up a "Green Careers" desk at the event to counsel youth on career paths in sustainability.
Assist in organizing workshops on livelihood skills like upcycling waste, making cloth bags, or vertical gardening.
Connect with vocational training institutes to offer scholarships or courses to Planet Run volunteers.
Track and report on any livelihoods generated or supported through the movement.
Skills & Qualifications
Interest in labor markets, skill development, and social enterprise.
Ability to connect with training partners and employers.
Economics, Management (HR), Social Work, or Vocational Education students.
Ability to provide career advice and mentorship to youth.
