Overview
The Planet Run is as much about human health as it is about planetary health. This intern focuses on the fitness and wellness aspects of the movement. You will work to ensure that participants understand the link between a clean environment and a healthy body. This role is perfect for fitness enthusiasts who want to use their passion to drive social good.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or coordinate warm-up Zumba/Aerobics sessions before the run starts to energize the crowd.
Develop content connecting pollution/environment to health issues.
Help track collective health metrics, such as "Total Kilometers Run" or "Calories Burned" by the community, to gamify the experience.
Assist in planning the medical support stations and ensuring First Aid availability along the route.
Organize small sessions on nutrition, hydration, and mental well-being for volunteers and participants.
Skills & Qualifications
Background in sports, athletics, or general fitness is a huge plus.
High enthusiasm and ability to motivate people to move.
Physical Education, Sports Management, Physiotherapy, or Health Science students.
Ability to manage sports equipment and schedule fitness slots.
Learning Opportunities
