Overview

This specialized role focuses on two of the most critical Planet Impact Themes: Water Security and Climate Resilience. You will be responsible for creating awareness and action plans specifically around water bodies and climate education. This role connects the global climate crisis to local water realities, making the issues relatable and actionable for the common citizen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit local lakes, rivers, or ponds to document their condition and identify potential cleanup or restoration sites for Planet Run volunteers.

  • Create specific awareness campaigns on "Water Footprint" and "Climate Action" to be displayed at the event venue.

  • Liaise with local water conservation NGOs or experts to bring technical knowledge to the movement.

  • Help visualize climate data (e.g., temperature rise in the city, water table depletion) for public exhibits.

  • Manage the "Water Pledge" station where participants commit to saving water, and track these commitments post-event.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong interest in hydrology, climate change, and conservation.

  • Ability to interpret basic climate and water data.

  • Geography, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or Geology students.

  • Ability to simplify complex climate concepts for a lay audience.

Learning Opportunities
